Principles of Supervision and Management (PSM), a training program for managers and supervisors, will relaunch in September 2017.
The program has the overarching goal that managers and supervisors will be able to create and maintain a healthy, inclusive, and engaging work environment so employees can be successful. In order to accomplish this goal, there will be a mix of online training modules and in-person classes. These will cover topics such as UW–Madison policies, leadership skills, and interpersonal skills. The in-person classes will focus on working through real work scenarios.
Participants will attend the in-person classes with the same group of participants which will support building and broadening their network of managers and supervisors across campus.
