Translation and Interpretation Services

Cultural Linguistic Services (CLS) offers translation and interpretation services for effective communication and understanding in multilingual work environments.

Interpretation

CLS provides on-site interpretation for group events and one-on-one meetings to improve communication and understanding in diverse workplace settings:

  • Meetings between supervisors and employees
  • Benefits meetings
  • Safety trainings

Translation

CLS translates a variety of written communications into multiple languages:

  • Policy statements
  • Brochures
  • Marketing materials
  • Presentations

CLS provides consecutive and simultaneous interpretation, sight translation, and language support in English, Spanish, Hmong, Tibetan, Mandarin Chinese, and Nepali.

Multilingual Facilitation

CLS works with UW–Madison departments that want to offer their workshops in other languages. For example:

  • Campus sessions
  • Safety training
  • Preventing Sexual Harassment
  • Title and Total Compensation forums
  • Preventing Hostile and Intimidating Behavior
