The New Campus Budget Approach

Presenter: James Montgomery

This session will provide an overview of the new campus budget approach. This approach specifies the mechanisms through which central campus will allocate funds to schools and colleges. I will briefly discuss the campus process that lead to the new approach. I will then focus on the content of the approach, in particular the allocation mechanisms for undergraduate tuition, graduate tuition, and indirect costs. I will also briefly discuss the transition to the new approach.

While the new campus budget approach will determine how central campus provides funding to schools and colleges, implementation within those divisions will be determined by deans. Thus, please note that this session will not address implementation of the new approach within any particular school or college.
