Growing Career Resilience in an Ever-changing Workplace

Description

Our workplaces continue to change at a rapid pace. So much so that we sometimes lose our ability to adapt in healthy ways. How can we grow our career resilience to lead in the most effective way through these constant changes? This workshop will share what career resilience is and how to grow it, while participants work through a challenge of their own to better lead, work, and develop in their careers.

About the Presenter

April McHugh serves as the Director of the Career Counseling Program for UW–Madison employees. She has been working at UW–Madison for almost 13 years and with adults in career transition for 23 years providing career, personal, educational, and formerly mental health counseling. She serves UW–Madison employees through one-on-one career counseling appointments, workshops, and presentations. She has her Master’s in Guidance and Counseling, licensed as a professional counselor (LPC), nationally certified as a counselor (NCC), and certified as a Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF). April has taught the GCDF curriculum, held numerous leadership positions with the Wisconsin Career Development Association, and currently sits on an international committee with the National Career Development Association. She remains active in both professional organizations.
