About the Presenter

Christopher East
Organizational Career Development Specialist, Learning and Talent Development

Christopher E. East is a Senior Organizational Development Specialist at UW–Madison’s Office of Human Resources, where he leads institution-wide career development initiatives that support the professional growth of over 26,000 staff. With more than two decades of experience in higher education and workforce development, Christopher has designed and facilitated innovative learning experiences, integrated digital career tools, and built strategic partnerships across K–12, technical colleges, and universities. His expertise spans career strategy planning, learning experience design, stakeholder engagement, and performance management. Prior to his current role, he served in multiple capacities at UW–Madison’s Student Career Center, where he led communications, assessment, and advising efforts to enhance student career readiness. Christopher holds a Master of Science in College Student Personnel from Western Illinois University and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of the Pacific.
