Join the Office of Compliance (OC) for a panel presentation covering institutional compliance programs such as Public Records, HIPAA Privacy, and Civil Rights including Title IX, the ADA, and protected-class discrimination investigations. OC compliance experts will discuss how HR community members connect with these important compliance areas, and time will be reserved for questions and answers from the HR community.Â

About the Speaker
Jaimee Gilford, Director, Office of Compliance
Prior to this appointment, Jaimee served as the Director of Clery Act Compliance and a Deputy Title IX Coordinator from 2014-2019. Before joining UW-Madison, Jaimee was a prosecutor in Chicago and in-house counsel for a national insurance company.Â
Jaimee earned her law degree from Syracuse University and holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in political science and sociology from the University of Colorado-Boulder. She is a Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP) through the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics.Â
Claire Dalle Molle, JD, Assistant Director of Data Privacy & Transparency
Prior to her current role, Claire worked as an attorney director, helping to manage a private practice law firm. She also spent over 7 years with the UW-Madison Office of Legal Affairs, ending her tenure there as Senior University Legal Counsel. During that time, she focused on issues related to privacy and transparency, such as medical records regulations, the Wisconsin Public Records law, and more.Â
Claire double majored in Political Science and Spanish at UW-Madison and earned her J.D. there in 2008. Claire and her husband have five children and love watching them grow. You can find the 7 of them enjoying everything Wisconsin has to offer.Â
Lauren Hasselbacher, Assistant Director of Civil Rights Compliance & Title IX Coordinator
Before joining the University in May 2017, Lauren worked as a senior investigator at the University of Colorado Boulder, where she investigated allegations of discrimination, harassment, and sexual misconduct on campus.Â
Lauren received her B.A. from UW-Madison, and after graduating she worked at Domestic Abuse Intervention Services in Dane County as a legal advocate before moving to Colorado to attend law school at CU Boulder. While earning her law degree, Lauren worked in a variety of legal and advocacy settings that addressed issues related to sexual assault, domestic violence and illegal discrimination, including Colorado Legal Services and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Following law school, Lauren practiced at a Denver employment and civil rights law firm.
Julie Laundrie, Public Records Custodian
Before joining the University in 2024, Julie served as the Public Records Custodian at the City of Madison Police Department where she led a high-volume unit responding to requests for police investigative reports, data, and personnel records.Â
Julie earned her BS in Public Administration from UW-Green Bay and has a graduate certificate from Edgewood College in Urban and Rural Economic Development. For most of her earlier career, Julie worked for a Wisconsin State Senator leading communications and staffing a variety of Legislative Committees, including budget cycles of the Joint Committee on Finance.
Ruben Mota, Americans with Disabilities Act Coordinator
Ruben serves as the ADA Coordinator, collaborating and coordinating with university partners to ensure UW-Madison is continually striving for access and inclusivity for individuals with disabilities. Prior to joining the Office of Compliance, Ruben served as an Associate Director in the university’s McBurney Disability Resource Center. Previously, Ruben worked overseas in Switzerland.Â
Ruben holds a Bachelor of Arts in sociology from American University, a Master’s in Teaching with special education endorsement from the University of Washington, and a Doctorate from Capella University in leadership and educational administration.
Jack Talaska, HIPAA Privacy Officer
In his role, Jack works to ensure institutional compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) by assisting in the development of institution-wide HIPAA policies and serving as a general source of knowledge for HIPAA-related issues. Jack oversees the HIPAA Privacy compliance program and affiliated staff, leads the development and delivery of relevant training, monitors institutional risk, and communicates risk and remediation strategies to campus leadership. Prior to joining UW Izabella Warner’s Zoom Meeting -Madison in April 2022, Jack served as Privacy Manager for a large hospital system based in New Orleans, LA. Before entering the field of health care privacy compliance, Jack spent several years as a felony public defender in Lafayette, LA.Â
A Wisconsinite, Jack received his B.A. in Political Science from UW-Milwaukee and his law degree from The George Washington University. He is certified in Healthcare Privacy Compliance (CHPC) through the Health Care Compliance Association.Â
