Increase Your Impact on the Culture Where You Work

Every one of us can have a positive impact on our workplace. By developing our skills in areas such as conflict management, active listening, emotional intelligence, and interpersonal relationships, we can contribute to a rewarding work experience for ourselves and others.

We can also work together to influence the culture of our teams, using intentional practices in how we meet, communicate, and collaborate. Team members can explore specific questions and choose practices that support belonging and a sense of shared purpose.

  • EQ Skills and Strategies: Noticing and Naming Emotions

Participants will learn specific strategies for recognizing their own emotions and the emotions of others, a practice that can increase trust and enhance communication. This course is the first in a five-part series of Emotional Intelligence @ Work: Skills and Strategies offerings; each course can be taken individually.

    Offered virtually on July 15.

  • Team Culture: By Design, Not Default

This workshop helps teams move from unspoken norms to intentional practices regarding how they meet, communicate, and collaborate. By engaging in specific exercises, teams can reimagine how they work together. Teams are encouraged to register two or more members who can bring these exercises back to their unit or department.

    Offered virtually on July 16.
