Personal Counseling

UW–Madison provides personal counseling to employees (including employed graduate students), their families, and significant others. Consider reaching out to the Employee Assistance Office when you need help with work-related or personal challenges, including these issues and others:

  • Work-related stress
  • Personal stress
  • Anxiety, depression, and other mental health concerns
  • Parenting and caregiving
  • Referrals to alcohol and drug treatment resources
  • Personal support related to university disciplinary procedures
  • Relationship challenges
  • Conflict with coworkers and supervisors
  • Grief and loss

Services are cost free

There is no cost for services provided by the Employee Assistance Office. You may use the services of the Employee Assistance Office during work hours with no loss in pay. If you need services beyond what the EAO can offer, we may refer you to other campus or community resources.
