Candidate View, by Job Application Status

Overview

In Workday Recruiting, a candidate's profile includes three parts: Application Status (Active/Inactive), the Stage (e.g. Screen), and the Step within that Stage (e.g. Phone Screen, Resume Screen).

Updating the Status and Stage of a candidate's application will influence what they see in their Candidate Home account, while the Step does not. It's important to ensure that candidates' application statuses (Status, Stage and Step) are updated timely and accurately throughout the recruitment process.

Important: Changing a candidate's status in Workday, including removing them from consideration or closing the Job Requisition, does not send them any kind of notification/communication. Use the Send Message feature in Workday to communicate when you update candidate statuses.
