Overview of what is changing for Learning Management

Employees have access to track and complete a limited number of compliance-related courses within the Workday Learning module.

What changed:

  • The following compliance courses are available in Workday:
    • Prevent Sexual Harassment and Violence at UW–Madison
    • Responsible Employee
    • Campus Security Authority
    • Ergonomics: A Guide to Setting up Your Computer Workstation (self-enrollable or assignable as appropriate)
  • Cybersecurity Awareness Training
  • Additional employee training and courses are transitioning to Workday in phases
  • Compliance courses will be assigned to new hires by their manager or a Learning Partner
  • Most recent completions for compliance courses were loaded into Workday. Employees will be notified when it is time to retrain on these topics
  • Course transcripts for classes taken in Workday Learning starting July 2025 (and migrated completions for the compliance courses listed above) are available in the Workday Learning module. Transcripts for courses taken outside of Workday Learning or before July 2025 are available on the Office of Human Resources (OHR) Professional Development website

What stayed the same:

  • Courses such as the Prevent Sexual Harassment and Violence at UW–Madison and Cybersecurity Awareness Training is still required for all employees
  • Some units may have specific course requirements for their employees
  • Employees will be notified when they need to take required training
  • The OHR Professional Development website will continue to provide access to course information and professional development opportunities
