Overview of what is changing for Learning Management

Starting in July 2025, employees will have access to track and complete a limited number of compliance-related courses within the Workday Learning module. 

What is changing: 

  • Beginning in July 2025, the following compliance courses will be available in Workday: 
    • Prevent Sexual Harassment and Violence at UW–Madison 
    • HIPAA 
    • Responsible Employee 
    • Campus Security Authority 
    • Ergonomics: A Guide to Setting up Your Computer Workstation (self-enrollable or assignable as appropriate). 
  • Cybersecurity Awareness Training will be available in Workday in August 15.
  • Other employee training and courses will transition to Workday in phases. 
  • Course transcripts for classes taken in Workday Learning starting July 2025 will be available in the Workday Learning module. Transcripts for courses taken outside of Workday Learning or before July 2025 will be available on the Office of Human Resources (OHR) Professional Development website

What is staying the same: 

  • Courses such as the Prevent Sexual Harassment and Violence at UW–Madison and Cybersecurity Awareness Training will still be required for all employees. 
  • Some units may have specific course requirements for their employees. 
  • Employees will be notified when they need to take required training.  
  • The OHR Professional Development website will continue to provide access to course information and professional development opportunities. 

How to prepare:

  • Continue to utilize the OHR Professional Development website to explore courses and professional development opportunities. 
  • When Workday becomes available in July 2025, employees can explore the features of Workday Learning to understand how to track and access courses. 

Employees will be notified when required courses and new courses are available in Workday Learning.
