This resource will serve as the hub for all Learning Management System (LMS) content in Workday for Employees. Each content topic
includes related job aids and UW–Madison guidance.
Workday Learning Dashboard
The Workday Learning Dashboard will be an important part of your interactions in Workday. Review the Workday Learning Dashboard job aid to read the steps for personalizing your dashboard.
The Learning Dashboard will allow you to:
- access and track completion of training
- view courses you are registered for
- browse courses based on your interests
Enrolling in Courses
Review the Enrolling in Courses job aid to learn how to:
- Find learning content
- Enroll in a self-directed course (self-directed refers to on demand or self-paced learning)
- Enroll in an instructor-led course (instructor-led courses will be available after go-live)
Dropping a Course
Review the Dropping a Course job aid for information on managing your course enrollment.
Note: You cannot drop courses that have been assigned to you as required training. Work with your HR department for assistance in dropping a course that has been assigned to you.
Create and Manage Learning Paths
Review the Create and Manage Learning Paths job aid for information on creating a playlist of courses that support your professional development goals. You can share your learning path with other employees, and your manager can share content directly with you.

When do I start using Workday Learning?
A limited number of compliance courses will be in Workday at go-live. Remaining employee professional development training will be migrated into Workday on a rolling basis. Review the chart below for additional information.

How will I access trainings?
You can continue to access training in other platforms like Canvas, the UW-Madison Professional Development page, OHR Registration System, and your own divisional resources.
How will I be notified about trainings?
Notifications about your learning enrollments and assignments will appear in Workday under the bell icon in the right corner of the Workday homepage. Review Navigating Notifications for more information on managing your notifications.
For compliance training, you may also receive email notifications and see the learning assignments as "Required for You" on the "My Learning" page.
How will I access previous course transcripts?
Most transcript information from the OHR Registration system will not be transferred into Workday. You will still be able to access the OHR Registration system for transcript information not migrated to Workday. Review the Accessing Your Learning Transcript job aid for information on viewing your course transcript in Workday.

How will my historical training completions be updated?
Some compliance course completions like Prevent Sexual Harassment and Violence at UW–Madison and Cybersecurity will be migrated into Workday Learning. However, your employee transcript from the OHR Registration system or other campus learning will not be fully transferred to Workday Learning.
