Ex: “Need a report of all jobs held and at what compensation rate during FY 16”.
Ex: “Need a dashboard of all the funding information for employees in my division.”
What level of detail is needed in the analysis? (Examples: List of employees, employee compensation grouped by department)
What measures are needed in the analysis? (Examples: Counts of employees and appointments, compensation dollars, FTE level)
What groupings are needed in the analysis? (Examples: Division/Department, Employee Class, Compensation Basis)
What statistics are needed in the analysis? (Examples: Average compensation rate, actual compensation percentiles, empirical distribution of health benefits cost)
What time period does the analysis cover? (Examples: Current time, a particular fiscal month/quarter/year, an official reporting period i.e. OCTJOB)
