Federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program
Presented by Emma Crawford, UW–Madison Office of Student Financial Aid
Tens of thousands of student loan borrowers have had difficulty in navigating Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) since its inception in 2007. Recognizing this, President Biden announced a temporary waiver of many of the requirements of the program, therefore expanding eligibility to tens of thousands of borrowers who weren’t eligible previously. While this was undoubtedly great news, it has also added to the confusion around PSLF. Come learn about PSLF and its temporary waiver from an on-campus PSLF expert, including tangible steps you should take in order to benefit from this time-limited opportunity.
