There are certain events that allow you to make changes to your benefits mid-year.

Deadline

You will have 30 days from the date of the Qualifying Life Event to update most benefit enrollments. Late applications will not be accepted.

How to Enroll or Make Changes to Your Benefits

To enroll in, make changes, or cancel benefits in Workday due to a qualifying life event:

1. Log in to Workday, access the Workday tile in MyUW, or use the Workday app on your mobile device.
2. From the Menu (upper left corner), hover over Personal and click Benefits and Pay.
3. Go to Suggested Links, and click My Benefits.
4. Log in to My Benefits, and click Go to My Insurance Benefits.
5. Review the Terms and Conditions, click Next, and then click Edit your benefits to make any changes.

To access My Insurance Benefits, the benefits enrollment system, you will need to use the login you created when you set up your account in My Benefits. When you registered for My Benefits, you created a MyWisconsin ID. This ID contains your long-term credentials to view and manage most of your benefits.
