University of Wisconsin–Madison

TTC Project Goes into Effect Fall 2021

The Title and Total Compensation (TTC) Project will re-engage campus to implement the new job title structure in the fall of 2021. As part of the project, employees will continue conversations with their manager or human resources department to confirm their job title and position description. Some employees may have had conversations in each school, college, and division. All conversations will be complete by early fall. Over the last several months, the project has matched job titles to the market, developed a new salary structure, collaborated with the human resources community, and begun to re-engage shared governance partners.

As we move onward from the past year, the TTC Project looks forward to campus community re-engagements. To date, the TTC Project has had thousands of opportunities to engage employees through input sessions, work groups, surveys, and employee forums. The project will continue to engage employees throughout the process.

The TTC Project will help the university attract, reward, and retain staff. It will ensure a consistent job framework, a market-informed pay structure, and a recommendation for future benefits enhancements. This is a UW–Madison and UW System joint initiative.

The TTC Project and campus leadership thank you for your continued support as we look forward to implementing this important project in 2021.

More information will be shared in campus communications.
