Minimum Job Posting Periods

Policy

All job postings must meet required minimum posting periods as designated by the Office of Human Resources. 

Important: To accommodate Workday programming, the start and end dates must meet the minimum job posting periods requirement plus one day because the job posting will be removed from the employment website at 11:59pm the day BEFORE the end date. Example: 14 day posting period has the start date as 2/2/2026 so the end date must be 2/17/2026 because the posting will be removed on 2/16/2026 at 11:59pm.

Faculty 30 calendar days
CHS Faculty 30 calendar days
Dean/Limited *when a candidate must be tenurable  30 calendar days
Academic Staff, Limited, and University Staff   14 calendar days
Temporary Employee  7 calendar days
Coach  7 calendar days
Internal Recruitment 7 calendar days
