Policy Background
Primary recruiters are encouraged to conduct a recruitment for each open position, however when approved by the Office of Human Resources (OHR), an established applicant pool may be used to fill subsequent vacancies.
Procedure and Use Cases
Typically, assessment and interview results may be used to fill subsequent vacancies on the same job requisition for a period of six months from the application close date. This may also be appropriate in situations where a new hire resigns a month or two into a job, and the hiring unit would like to offer the job to another qualified candidate from their pool. To request approval to reuse a pool, email your Talent Acquisition Specialist.
In Workday
To add vacancies to a job requisition, use the Edit Job Requisition process.
A second job requisition may be required due to system limitations, such as if the original job requisition has been filled or is for a replacement. If you are not able to change the number of openings on a job requisition, work with your Talent Acquisition Specialist.
