Instructions for installing Workday on a mobile device

UW–Madison employees can access the Workday mobile app from any tablet or smartphone with internet access. A step-by-step login guide is available to support employees through the process. Employees will need their NetID, password, and Duo multi-factor authentication device to log in.

Steps to install the Workday mobile app

What you will need

  • Computer or Smartphone
  • Personal NetID and Password
  • Smartphone or Duo Device

Install the Workday mobile app

  1. On your device, go to Apple App Store or Google Play Store:
    Icons for the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
  2. Search for (and select) Workday:
    Icon for the Workday app.
  3. Select Install or Get
  4. Accept application permissions, if necessary

Log into the Workday mobile app

  1. Open the Workday Mobile app
  2. Tap Log in
  3. Enter Your Organization ID: wisconsin, or scan the QR code:

  4. Tap Single Sign On (in the app)

  5. Select UW-Madison
  6. Tap Go

Enter your UW credentials

  1. Type your NetID and password
  2. Tap Log In

Verify your account

  1. Verify with Duo Mobile: Enter the Verification Code or tap Other options and enter your Duo Mobile passcode
