Overview of what is changing for Time Clocks

What is changing for Time Clocks in Summer 2025? 

Beginning in Summer 2025, select employees will use a new time clock system called Dormakaba to track their hours worked. The Dormakaba time clocks will be installed on campus for select University Staff and student employees who work in UW Athletics, University Housing, Facilities Planning and Management, and Recreation and Wellbeing.

What is changing 

  • Select University Staff and student employees will clock in and out on a new device.
  • How employees will record their time.
  • Where employees will view time clock history.
  • Time clocks will be available in multiple languages (English, Spanish, Hmong, Tibetan, Chinese, Nepali).

What stays the same 

  • Employee pay.
  • Benefits.
  • Attendance, breaks, and overtime policies.
  • Work schedules.

How to prepare 

Impacted employees will receive communications from their local HR with more information about the new time clock system as it becomes available.
