Talent Acquisition serves as a resource to attract, recruit, engage and retain a high-quality and diverse workforce. Our team advises on university policies and consults with schools, colleges, and divisions on recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and engagement, inclusion, and diversity (EID).



  • Oversee UW–Madison recruitment, assessment, and selection policies and procedures
  • Market to diverse job seekers through outreach events and community partnerships
  • Develop, consult, and educate on recruitment best practices, tools, and resources
  • Maintain and enhance the applicant tracking system, the Talent Recruitment and Engagement Management System (TREMS)


  • Support new employee onboarding with resources, education, and consultation
  • Maintain and enhance onboarding technology
  • Welcome new employees to campus in an engaging orientation to UW–Madison

Engagement, Inclusion, and Diversity

  • Consult on employee engagement, inclusion, and diversity (EID) strategies and tools
  • Facilitate the EID survey, provide data, and assess and evaluate EID practices
  • Develop and review EID priorities in partnership with divisions

Performance Management

  • Consult, support, and collaborate on performance management programs
  • Maintain and enhance the Performance Management and Development Program (PMDP)
  • Educate and provide resources for performance management conversations
