Healing and Transformation

Current policies, systems and environments can produce pain and trauma for many marginalized groups on campus and across our  broader communities. Confronting these systems of oppression requires us to hold spaces for healing. The process of healing allows us to acknowledge and grapple with present inequities and work towards collective transformational change.

Antiracism

Antiracism |Antiracism is the practice of actively opposing racism. Racism has a cost for everyone. Addressing racism and working toward antiracism is critical to our communities’ collective healing and well-being. Restorative Justice

Restorative justice requires us to identify ways to repair harm and hold individuals that cause harm accountable for their actions. Restorative Justice centers both the individual(s) impacted and the offender(s) causing the harm and aims to find ways to repair the harm. Collective Accountability

Collective accountability requires us to move into a shared responsibility to hold each other accountable at all levels of the organization—current and formal leaders, management and individual employees—to support, model, and hold accountable to values, strategies and principles that promote diversity, equity, inclusion and employee well-being. Healing and care | Confronting systems of oppression requires us to acknowledge and grapple with our collective pain, trauma and healing needed to move forward. Learn more about why centering healing and care is critical to becoming a healthy, equitable and just organization.

Transformational Organizational Change

Transformational organizational change is both a process and a goal; a model that is rooted in fundamentally shifting how organizations operate. Transformational organizational change is holistic and requires radical shifts in thinking, behavior, structures, and work environments.
