  • Job Summary:
    Directs and oversees all scholarship activities within a school/college. Provides strategic oversight of scholarship plans that support the recruitment, retention, and academic success of the students. Manages scholarship funds and donor stewardship. Works collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate services and maintain compliance with financial aid expectations.
  • Job Responsibilities:
    • Leads and develops strategy for the development, implementation, and maintenance of scholarships to ensure appropriate use of resources to align with and accomplish recruitment and retention goals and meet donor intent
    • Oversees and manages the scholarship budget for the school/college
    • Develops and implements scholarship processes that comply with policies and regulations, and advance strategic priorities
    • Administers the electronic scholarship system including the application, awarding process, and donor communication
    • Exercises supervisory authority, including hiring, transferring, suspending, promoting, managing conduct and performance, discharging, assigning, rewarding, disciplining, and/or approving hours worked of at least 2.0 full-time equivalent (FTE) employees
    • Builds strong relationships with campus partners, academic departments, Human Resources, Business Services, and external stakeholders to ensure effective practices in scholarship activities
    • Advises leadership on scholarship and donor issues
    • Works with internal stakeholders to identify issues and work towards solutions to problems as they arise in all levels of scholarship activities including student application processes, application review, scholarship awarding, account reconciliation, and donor communication and outreach
