  • Job Summary:
    Responsible for overseeing a property-based venture which has master-planned property and buildings designed primarily for private/public research and development facilities, high technology, and science-based companies and support services. Promotes the institution's research and development through partnerships that support the unit's mission.
  • Job Responsibilities:
    • Directs, implements, and monitors strategic planning initiatives to ensure appropriate use of financial, administrative, and staffing resources
    • Provides leadership and oversight in financial operations including developing and administering budgets and oversight of contracts, reviewing outside entities responsible for managing the investment portfolio, and other funds to ensure adherence to accounting practices, compliance regulations, and law
    • Exercises supervisory authority, including hiring, transferring, suspending, promoting, managing conduct and performance, discharging, assigning, rewarding, disciplining, and/or approving hours worked of at least 2.0 FTE or equivalent employees
    • Serves as a key liaison to internal and external stakeholders to maintain strategic business relationships that foster development objectives
    • Serves as a point of contact and unit liaison to internal and external stakeholder groups providing organizational information and representing the interests of the unit
    • Serves as the Assistant Secretary-Treasurer of the University Research Park, Inc. Board of Trustees, and the primary staff person for the Board of Trustees
    • Schedules logistics and secures resources for the design, construction, and development of master-planned properties and buildings for private/public research and development facilities, high technology, science-based companies, and support services
    • Oversees negotiation of leases, construction of tenant improvements, and ongoing maintenance and management of property
