  • Job Summary:
    Develops strategy, policy and protocol, administers services, and cultivates relationships for career advising and/or employer relations efforts within a school or college to ensure all constituents receive quality career services support. Strives to create a welcoming, equitable, and inclusive work environment.
  • Job Responsibilities:
    • Identifies, proposes, and implements new or revised operational policies and procedures for career advising and/or employer relations within a school or college
    • Directs strategic planning initiatives and establishes career development unit objectives to ensure appropriate use of financial, administrative, and staffing resources, and alignment with the strategic plan
    • Serves as a liaison to internal and external stakeholder groups to provide information on career outcomes and career services
    • Identifies, promotes, and maintains external partnerships to understand employment needs and encourage recruitment of the institution's students
    • Exercises supervisory authority, including hiring, transferring, suspending, promoting, managing conduct and performance, discharging, assigning, rewarding, disciplining, and/or approving hours worked of at least 2.0 full-time equivalent (FTE) employees
    • Participates and leads in the campus-wide career services community providing input to leadership regarding the development of advising, recruitment, and co/curricular programs offered by the school/college
