Job Summary:
Assists in determining the strategic departmental goals, develops tracking metrics, and supports determination of direction for staffing to ensure students receive quality academic services. May supervise staff and provide professional development opportunities.

Job Responsibilities:
- Manages and implements policies and activities for a unit
- May supervise and lead permanent and provisional staff members who perform duties in support of the unit
- Provides staff with timely and challenging professional development opportunities for improving their skills and increasing their effectiveness
- Serves as the liaison to institutional stakeholder groups providing student record, curricular, and degree requirement data, and representing the interests of the unit
- Evaluates unit effectiveness and provides recommendations for improvement
- Consults on procedural and policy implementation questions in accordance with established guidelines
