Job Summary:
Provides administrative oversight of recreational programming and provides leadership and direction in support of the mission, vision, and goals of the work unit. Participates in planning that contributes to student development.

Job Responsibilities:
- Establishes and implements short and long-range organizational goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures for recreational programming and monitors and evaluates operational effectiveness
- Develops, leads and monitors work unit programs and associated budgets
- Oversees the planning and daily operations of recreation facilities and areas, ensures necessary renovations, maintenance, and capital improvement projects are completed
- Promotes awareness of recreational policies and information and develops programs and forms strong networks with various organizations, departments, and programming committees
- Serves as a liaison and represents recreational programming to executive leadership and other internal and external entities, serves on campus-wide committees
- Exercises supervisory authority, including hiring, transferring, suspending, promoting, managing conduct and performance, discharging, assigning, rewarding, disciplining, and/or approving hours worked of at least 2.0 full-time equivalent (FTE) employees
