  • Job Summary:
    Assists in leading team activities, spirit team member development, and the supervision and scheduling of tryouts, practices, and appearances to ensure team member safety, eligibility, and compliance.
  • Job Responsibilities:
    • Assists in directing team practices, game activities, and performances and safety processes to ensure alignment with unit objectives and the safety of participants
    • Determines and assures compliance with university and NCAA rules and regulations including student participant eligibility criteria, communicates concerns with appropriate entities, and contributes to resolutions to ensure compliance with established rules and regulations
    • Provides direct guidance and consultation to individual Spirit Squad members based upon their specific needs
    • Provides assistance in the recruitment and retention of student athletes
    • Represents the Spirit Squad and directs operations and staff in the absence of the Spirit Squad Director
    • Plans and schedules warm up, practice, pre-game activities, performances, and post-game activities including logistics and needed resources
