Job Summary:
Directs unit operations while driving strategies that result in efficiencies, cost savings and optimal performance. Champions the printing unit's efforts to achieve objectives and implement strategic plans.

Job Responsibilities:
- Directs, implements, and monitors strategic planning initiatives to ensure appropriate use of financial, administrative, and staffing resources
- Recommends, reviews, and directs personnel resource allocation including hiring, training, supervision, and resolution of personnel issues to ensure appropriate utilization of resources
- Exercises supervisory authority, including hiring, transferring, suspending, promoting, managing conduct and performance, discharging, assigning, rewarding, disciplining, and/or approving hours worked of at least 2.0 full-time equivalent (FTE) employees
- Serves as the printing unit liaison to internal and external stakeholder group providing organizational information and representing the interests of the unit
- Develops and audits administrative operating reports, budgets, policies, and procedures to comply with state regulations, institution policies, and business objectives
- Researches, negotiates, creates, and submits purchasing requests for printing and business related equipment
- Administers procurement contracts and communicates with vendors on equipment purchases, business acquisitions, and print buying
