Job Summary:
Acquires and develops high-quality book projects that complement existing publications and identifies opportunities to build prominent lists in other areas. Shapes and helps grow the book list in new and productive directions.

Job Responsibilities:
- Acquires and develops new book publications
- Develops and expands a professional network to identify potential authors, editors, and reviewers
- Presents projects to colleagues and the approving committee
- Tracks project progress and ensures timelines and quality standards are met
- Makes recommendations regarding promotional efforts and overall publishing plans for individual titles and fields
- Directs operations of the acquisitions department
- Assists in the management of part-time student assistants
