Job Summary:
Develops risk management program goals, identifies risk management issues, coordinates unit response, and provides education and training to eliminate potential risks and find solutions for existing risks.

Job Responsibilities:
- Identifies and analyzes risk-related issues, responds to risk-related inquiries, and directs the operational functions of investigations
- Organizes logistical resources for the peer review processes and analyzes and evaluates information obtained from risk-related investigations
- Recommends and implements solutions for risk-related issues and events and audits the impact of proposed solutions and resolutions
- Develops and executes risk-related trainings and educational programs
- Responds to public records, third-party, and subpoena requests for depositions, consultations, and expert witnesses among the institutional community
- Directs strategic planning initiatives and creates unit objectives and goals to ensure compliance with established rules and regulations
- Develops and monitors the unit budget
- Exercises supervisory authority, including hiring, transferring, suspending, promoting, managing conduct and performance, discharging, assigning, rewarding, disciplining, and/or approving hours worked of at least 2.0 full-time equivalent (FTE) employees
