  • Job Summary:
    Assesses threats to the personal safety of students and other university community members, posed by violent actions and statements by any person or group of people and assures a cohesive threat assessment and response process.
  • Job Responsibilities:
    • Directs caseloads of ongoing investigations
    • Supervises and participates in the formation, determination, and implementation of threat response plans that address a wide range of employment issues
    • Meets with student services and managers to plan strategies and action plans for threats occurring during research or teaching activities
    • Directs the development of materials on personal safety and related content regarding threat assessment activities
    • Determines strategic direction and directs programs related to threat assessment
    • Interviews students or other persons who make threats or exhibit threatening behavior
    • Exercises supervisory authority, including hiring, transferring, suspending, promoting, managing conduct and performance, discharging, assigning, rewarding, disciplining, and/or approving hours worked of at least 2.0 full-time equivalent (FTE) employees
