Job Summary:
Manages and coordinates risk management issues and their related activities, including responding to risk-related events and complaints, managing and/or assisting in risk-related investigations, organizing and managing the peer review process, analyzing and evaluating information obtained form risk-related investigations; proposing recommending, and implementing solutions and resolutions to risk-related issues and events and following up on the implementation and impact of proposed solutions and resolutions.

Job Responsibilities:
- Manages and assists with the investigation of potentially compensable events (PCEs) and other claims against the division or unit and/or its staff, faculty, or students
- Assists with developing and implementing strategies toward preventing and responding to serious adverse events
- Organizes logistical resources for the peer review processes and analyzes and evaluates information obtained from risk-related investigations
- Analyzes institutional activities that pose an increased risk for the unit and/or legal action and develops solutions to reduce these risks
- Recommends and implements solutions for risk-related issues and events and audits the impact of proposed solutions and resolutions
- Develops and executes risk-related trainings and educational programs
- Analyzes information obtained from case reviews, meetings, collaborations, local and national trends, and/or protocols to reduce risk exposure
- Responds to public records, third-party, and subpoena requests for depositions, consultations, and expert witnesses among the institutional community
