  • Job Summary:
    Assists in executing strategies and operational plans related to staffing, services, and compliance, develops budgets, and maintains relationships with stakeholders to ensure access to disability services at the institution.
  • Job Responsibilities:
    • Assists in the development of strategic planning initiatives and institutional objectives to ensure appropriate use of financial, administrative, and staffing resources and alignment with the strategic plan
    • Assists in the development and implementation of disability services goals and operating policies and procedures in alignment with the strategic plan
    • Exercises supervisory authority, including hiring, transferring, suspending, promoting, managing conduct and performance, discharging, assigning, rewarding, disciplining, and/or approving hours worked of at least 2.0 full-time equivalent (FTE) employees
    • Oversees and executes operational responsibilities, such as individual consultations, trainings, and communications
    • Serves as a subject matter expert and unit liaison to internal and external stakeholder groups and individuals providing organizational information and representing the interests of the unit
    • Assists in the development, interpretation, and implementation of policy in compliance with federal and state law to ensure equal access to university disability programs and services
    • Advocates and collaborates for the full inclusion of persons with disabilities in all aspects of campus life and promotes a campus philosophy that adheres to universal design principles
