Job Summary:
Transcribes academic and non-academic materials into print and/or electronic formats of Braille, according to generally accepted standards.

Job Responsibilities:
- Transcribes electronic and print materials including textbooks, course handouts, illustrations, assignments, exams, presentations, and information materials into print and electronic Braille (literary, math, music, non-English languages, and/or other specialized formats). May produce tactile graphics with physical media or software.
- Proofreads Braille materials to ensure quality and alignment with Braille standards
- Back-translates Braille into print formats
- Uses and manages software and hardware used for Braille translation/transcription, embossing, and tactile graphics
- Assists program staff with training, outreach, demonstrations, and other program activities as needed
