Job Summary:
Researches, creates, and solicits bids and proposals from third party suppliers for institution level procurements to provide cost-effective materials and services within an assigned commodity area or business unit. Negotiates procurement contract terms and signs resulting contracts on behalf of the institution or business unit.

Job Responsibilities:
- Develops and manages solicitations in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Researches third party suppliers to understand available products and services, assesses market conditions, identifies supply options, and makes recommendations for procurement processes
- Drafts, submits, and communicates outcomes of procurement requests to suppliers and stakeholders
- Answers questions and provides guidance regarding specific commodities and service areas to various individuals and groups based on set material or standards
- Serves as a point of contact for external stakeholders, maintains contracts, and negotiates purchase prices to obtain timely and meaningful contract sourcing results
- Establishes and maintains bid and proposal records to comply with record-keeping requirements
