Job Summary:
Analyzes program needs, collects data and information, develops options and plans, issues recommendations, and implements policies and procedures to achieve overall campus departmental goals and state fleet goals. Monitors the unit budget, may supervise staff, and serves as a primary point of contact for the fleet program.

Job Responsibilities:
- Meets with university academic and administrative departments, student committees and groups, municipal and community leaders, and management to understand program needs, priorities, and engage in joint problem solving
- Recommends transportation initiatives and/or policy and procedural changes to better meet campus needs and the needs of customers
- Manages the department's procurement processes including research and development of bid specifications for both software and services
- May exercise supervisory authority, including hiring, transferring, suspending, promoting, managing conduct and performance, discharging, assigning, rewarding, disciplining, and/or approving hours worked of at least 2.0 FTE or equivalent employees
- Manages the fleet and garage operations and capital and replacement projects of the department to ensure the ability to meet programmatic goals and fiscal funding levels
