Job Summary:
Directs a program or project related to architecture or engineering. Provides oversight and direction including planning and scheduling of projects, project design and design review, estimating, allocation of resources, code review/compliance, engineering consultation, and construction support. Directs and manages staff.

Job Responsibilities:
- Oversees program for project development and client services
- Exercises supervisory authority, including hiring, transferring, suspending, promoting, managing conduct and performance, discharging, assigning, rewarding, disciplining, and/or approving hours worked of at least 2.0 full-time equivalent (FTE) employees
- Provides input and supervises the preparation of the written project scopes of work and other concept phase documents and guides the preparation of estimates and project budgets
- Coordinates the scheduling and assigning of project teams
- Serves as the lead technical representative for matters involving code compliance, construction contract changes, and claims
- Monitors a portfolio of projects, regularly communicates the progress and current status of all projects and related issues, and makes recommendations for process improvements
- Ensures staff provides expert engineering consultation services to supported schools, colleges, divisions, inspectors, and others
- Forecasts workload in preparation of resource planning requests
