Job Summary:
Directs the development and coordination of organizational learning programs and associated strategies to support and enhance the knowledge and skills of all employees, including supervising staff.

Job Responsibilities:
- Directs strategic planning initiatives and establishes objectives for training, professional development, and organizational development operations; and establishes unit goals and objectives
- Develops, plans, and implements training and development curriculum across employment categories in alignment with strategic plans and objectives
- Conducts and evaluates needs assessments with internal and external key stakeholders to create, develop, and facilitate new training and development programs
- Serves as the unit liaison to internal and external stakeholder groups providing professional development and training information and representing the interests of the unit
- Exercises supervisory authority, including hiring, transferring, suspending, promoting, managing conduct and performance, discharging, assigning, rewarding, disciplining, and/or approving hours worked of at least 2.0 full-time equivalent (FTE) employees
- Develops and audits the unit/program budget
