Job Summary:
Provides assistance to schools/colleges/divisions/units on policy and practice interpretations and guidelines for faculty appointments and promotions. Schedules and maintains promotion/appointment track activities through daily interaction with faculty, staff, and committees as appropriate and in compliance with policies and guidelines.

Job Responsibilities:
- Serves as a resource regarding preparation of promotion materials, interpretation of promotional guidelines, and other questions regarding process
- Assists candidates in developing appropriate required documentation for promotions and appointment changes, and makes recommendations for revisions
- Serves as a liaison between faculty, staff, and committees to ensure proper guidelines are followed
- Analyzes promotional requests and drafts memos for formal approval to appropriate faculty, committees, and/or staff
- Staffs faculty promotion committees and directs the member appointment process
