Job Summary:
Performs testing in a clinical cytogenetic laboratory. Evaluates and introduces new material, methods, and equipment to help determine the feasibility and/or adaptability for clinical studies, and participate in documenting and implementing quality control and quality control inventory procedures in support of research or clinical goals.

Job Responsibilities:
- Performs chromosome and/or fluorescent in-situ hybridization (FISH) analysis
- Performs culture, harvest, slide making, microscopy, and image capturing procedures for chromosome and/or FISH analysis on specimens from a wide range of tissue types
- Identifies opportunities for laboratory improvement and develops new protocols and procedures
- Performs established and defined quality improvement and quality control activities
- Assists with the development and facilitation of continuing education activities, research projects, and trainings for various audiences
