Job Summary:
Develops strategic plan, supervises nursing staff, coordinates health services, and manages the development and implementation of accreditation aligned policy in support of the comfort and well-being of patients.

Job Responsibilities:
- Directs strategic planning initiatives and establishes unit objectives to ensure appropriate use of financial, administrative, and staffing resources and alignment with the strategic plan.
- Exercises supervisory authority, including hiring, transferring, suspending, promoting, managing conduct and performance, discharging, assigning, rewarding, disciplining, and/or approving hours worked of at least 2.0 full-time equivalent (FTE) employees
- Develops, plans, organizes, implements, and evaluates patient-focused nursing care programs to ensure alignment with strategic initiatives to provide optimal care to patients and their support systems
- Develops, implements and monitors nursing accreditation program(s), policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with established rules and regulations
- Serves as the unit liaison to internal and external stakeholder groups and leadership providing organizational information and representing the interests of the unit, patients, and their support systems
- Develops and monitors budget
