Job Summary:
Conceptualizes, designs, constructs, operates, tests, maintains and improves research and clinical ionizing radiation metrology instrumentation to promote and enhance medical metrology research.

Job Responsibilities:
- Designs, implements, and executes research plans for improving clinical ionizing radiation metrology instrumentation
- Facilitates cooperative research group(s) to improve current and develop new highly sensitive ionizing radiation measurement instrumentation
- Contributes to the development of radiation dosimetry research through presentations for internal and external audiences
- Consults with department personnel on proper protocol for maintaining laboratory compliance with accrediting organizations
- Provides instruction and technical support on newly developed and existing measurement instrumentation in various environments
