Job Summary:
Assists physicians and other clinicians with record completion processes in compliance with medical staff bylaws, established standards and regulations, and other regulatory agency requirements. Communicates, facilitates, and troubleshoots for the medical staff and other clinicians relating to their record completion needs. Monitors routine reports detailing status of incomplete records. Provides excellent customer service to the medical staff and other clinicians.

Job Responsibilities:
- Reviews and documents surgical procedures performed within the department
- Collects and manages all patient data as directed
- Extracts and interprets medical data from charts to be later used for reporting
- Uses data to prepare, produce, and report to the department chair or supervisor
- Administers all data and research requests made by physician staff
- May provide expertise, training, and guidance to the community, peers, and/or students
- Evaluates current practices, identifies alternative options, and consults with other patient care staff to enhance patient care
