Job Summary:
Develops and coordinates a sports medicine program and assessment protocol, assesses athletic injuries, coordinates care and shares responsibility for athlete or participant health with team physicians and/or healthcare professionals. Supervises athletic training staff and/or allied health staff in support of injury care and injury prevention.

Job Responsibilities:
- Develops, implements, and directs the operational activities of a sports medicine program
- Identifies and recommends medical care for patients in collaboration with healthcare professionals
- Prepares, completes, and disseminates medical care documentation, information, and reports according to established policies and procedures
- Exercises supervisory authority, including hiring, transferring, suspending, promoting, managing conduct and performance, discharging, assigning, rewarding, disciplining, and/or approving hours worked of at least 2.0 full-time equivalent (FTE) employees
- Advises on and facilitates trainings on medical procedures, assessment protocols, and emergency action plans
