  • Job Summary:
    Leads and directs all medical programs and services and shares broad management responsibility in the division. Supervises staff and oversees risk management, quality improvement programs, and accreditation for medical services. Develops systems of care which foster continuity of patient care, optimal outcomes for patient health, and a successful health care team environment while supporting the missions of the division.
  • Job Responsibilities:
    • Directs strategic planning initiatives and establishes objectives for medical services to ensure appropriate use of financial, administrative, and staffing resources in alignment with the strategic plan
    • Exercises supervisory authority, including hiring, transferring, suspending, promoting, managing conduct and performance, discharging, assigning, rewarding, disciplining, and/or approving hours worked of at least 2.0 full-time equivalent (FTE) employees
    • Serves as a clinical resource to providers throughout the division
    • Evaluates and responds to patient concerns and complaints
    • Supports the development, measurement, and achievement of performance standards for quality, service, efficiency, and effectiveness for all programs and services
    • Directs the deployment of a clinical information system and other information technology resources within medical services
    • Assures compliance with standards and requirements of accrediting organizations and governmental compliance
