Job Summary:
Leads the enterprise architecture functions for enterprise information technology, developing the strategy and processes to meet university goals. Helps achieve a more flexible, cohesive and agile IT infrastructure, reducing the complexity and modernizing existing systems. Demonstrates how the current and future needs of the university will be met in an efficient, sustainable, agile, and adaptable manner. Provides a collective technology vision and helps set IT priorities, allocate IT resources, and develop or evolve IT- based services for the institution.

Job Responsibilities:
- Directs strategic planning initiatives and establishes enterprise architecture objectives to ensure appropriate use of financial, administrative, and staffing resources and alignment with the strategic plan
- Manages a team of architects with expertise across IT operations
- Works with business peers to develop and present business capability models and roadmaps to facilitate discussion and decision making with stakeholders across the enterprise
- Leads analysis of the university's future (and current) IT environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement to support academic and business priorities and opportunities
- Provides perspective on the readiness of the university to change and innovate with new approaches to technology. Leads and influences organizational change
- Stays abreast of major disruptive technology and overall trends that affect higher education
- Exercises supervisory authority, including hiring, transferring, suspending, promoting, managing conduct and performance, discharging, assigning, rewarding, disciplining, and/or approving hours worked of at least 2.0 full-time equivalent (FTE) employees
