Job Summary:
Provides a wide variety of professional library services which may include metadata creation, acquisitions, licensing, preservation, digital library, and data services. Provides input on policies and procedures to contribute to services and operations and to assist in continual service improvement and innovation.

Job Responsibilities:
- Creates processes and maintains complex metadata records for the purposes of resource discovery, access, and inventory control by following local and national cataloging and metadata standards and exercising independent judgement
- Assists in the analysis, planning, and deployment of resources to search, manipulate, and preserve information
- Contributes to the development of policies and procedures
- Assists with the coordination of day-to-day functions of one or more library operations or services
- Performs acquisition processes, including bibliographic searching, vendor assignments, determination of holdings, and choice of entry and database record format
- Identifies and evaluates preservation and curation needs of items and determines preservation solutions
- Assists with provisioning of access to and discovery of electronic resources, coordinates online access, and troubleshoots issues to provide library patrons with consistent access
- Serves on committees to advance librarianship at the campus, local, and/or state levels
- May direct the day-to-day activities of student workers
