Job Summary:
Manages and/or provides pre-award administration of sponsored grants, contracts, and awards. Reviews and approves proposal submission documents on behalf of a unit to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, policies, and terms and conditions. Issues sub-awards and sub-contracts.

Job Responsibilities:
- Reviews, interprets, negotiates, and processes extramural award documents, proposals, and agreements according to established policies and procedures to adhere to timelines and meet unit objectives
- Serves as a unit liaison to legal professionals and internal and external stakeholders in negotiating terms and conditions, fiscal reporting requirements, and payment schedules as needed
- Develops and facilitates trainings for designated work units on extramural negotiation, contracting conditions, and associated policies and procedures
- May establish accounts in the financial accounting system
- May identify funding opportunities and disseminate to researchers
- May contribute to non-technical components of proposals submissions
