Job Summary:
Serves as a confidential advisor and strategic thought partner to the Chancellor, assisting with the implementation of the Chancellor's vision and goals in collaboration with senior university leadership and external stakeholders. Organizes and prioritizes critical issues and required information for the Chancellor to facilitate efficient decision-making.

Job Responsibilities:
- Serves as a chief advisor to the Chancellor and main point of contact between the Chancellor and other stakeholders
- Provides follow-up and management of initiatives, managing response to both timely issues of the day and ensuring short, medium, and long-term strategic goals are being advanced
- Manages daily operations of the unit including all administrative, financial, and operational activities for the Chancellor
- Develops major goals to support broad functional objectives
- Provides oversight and guidance to projects of high importance to the Chancellor
- Exercises supervisory authority, including hiring, transferring, suspending, promoting, managing conduct and performance, discharging, assigning, rewarding, disciplining, and/or approving hours worked of at least 2.0 full-time equivalent (FTE) employees
- Develops and audits the unit budget in the behalf of the Chancellor
