Job Summary:
Assists the Director in planning and development for the institution's event program, including developing the program budget, performing personnel functions, and assisting in stakeholder relationship cultivation, to ensure that operations run efficiently, economically, and in line with department goals and policy.

Job Responsibilities:
- Plans and directs operational functions, and assists in the development of strategic planning initiatives and objectives for events
- Assists in developing and auditing the unit budget
- Exercises supervisory authority, including hiring, transferring, suspending, promoting, managing conduct and performance, discharging, assigning, rewarding, disciplining, and/or approving hours worked of at least 2.0 full-time equivalent (FTE) employees
- Assists in the development of operating policies and procedures for events in a specific field or working unit
- Serves as the unit liaison to internal and external stakeholder groups, promotes unit objectives and activities
